Astro Essentials 2" and 1.25" Visual OIII Filter

The O-III narrowband filter is specially designed for the observation of diffuse and planetary nebulae.

The O-III narrow band-pass filter isolates the two doubly ionised oxygen lines (496 and 501nm) emitted by diffuse, planetary and extremely faint nebulae.

O-III filters are best suited to telescopes with 8" or larger apertures, but significant improvements can be seen with instruments as small as 80mm.

When used with large aperture telescopes, the Astro Essentials OIII filter can produce near-photographic views of the Veil, Ring, Dumbbell, Orion and many other nebulae. 

Effective under even heavily light-polluted skies!

IMPORTANT: These Filters are NOT designed for observing or photographing the Sun. DO NOT use Astro Essentials filters to observe or photograph the Sun. If you do, it will result in permanent eye damage!
