Well made but too thick. When screwed into the camera it doesn't leave threads to screw on the nosepiece. This defeats the purpose I bought it for. The ZWO variant is thinner apparently.

I bought this to use with a ZWO ASI585MC Pro for holding a 1.25” UV filter. Unfortunately when I tried to screw an M42 spacer on top of the embedded filter holder there wasn’t room left for the spacer to snug down on top of the camera housing. This appeared to be because the Astro Essentials filter holder is pretty thick (and well made). Luckily the 585MC Pro comes with a ZWO 1.25” filter holder (I didn’t know that it did when I bought the Astro Essentials version) which is much thinner and therefore leaves enough room for the M42 spacer to sit securely on top.

Perfect little adapter. Sits in my ZWO Planetary camera so I can attach dual threaded filters together with a 1.25" nosepiece extender.
