Single Polarizing Filter (not variable).

A single polarising filter will reduce glare and enhance contrast when observing planets but it is most useful when combined with a Herschel Wedge for solar observing.

When using with a Herschel wedge screw the filter into a 1.25" eyepiece then simply rotate the eyepiece to adjust brightness.

Premium optical glass with anti-reflection coatings and a neutral density (doesn't affect colour).

IMPORTANT: Do not use this polarisation filter to observe the Sun without a Herschel Wedge. Immediate eye damage will result.

Good but sun still bright

With this filter you rotate the EP to dim the view.
It does improve brilliance, but I found the sun to still be a bit bright. After some messing with other optionss I added a 25% moon filter to the EP and this combination then worked well for me.
