Acuter Voyager MAK70 Optical Tube and 2D Microtune Mount
The new Acuter Voyager Mak70 is a high-contrast Maksutov-Cassegrain telescope with a 70mm aperture.
This compact and easily transportable telescope is ideal for observing and learning about the night sky. Since the image is upright (*see note in the specification table below), you can observe nature and other terrestrial objects during the daytime. You can also capture images with your smartphone using the included universal smartphone adaptor.
The outfit consists of a 70mm Maksutov-Cassegrain telescope OTA with 1000mm focal length, 50x and 100x magnifying eyepieces, an optical 5x24 finderscope, a smartphone adapter, and a carrying bag. The telescope can be expanded as required with optionally available standard 1.25 "telescope eyepieces to increase the range of magnifications. The telescope is supplied with the easy-to-use ACUTER 2D-MICROTUNE Alt-Azimuth Mount & Tripod equipped with fine adjustment knobs for precise movement in both altitude and azimuth axes. The set comes in an attractive gift box.
The Maksutov telescope is named after Dmitri Maksutov (1896-1964), a Russian optician and astronomer who introduced this telescope design in 1941.
