Fits all Celestron 8″ OTA’s including CPC and HD models.

Used for attaching telescope OTA to existing mount or attaching accessories to top of OTA.

The XL version adds extra length to the back of the dovetail bar.  Ideal for balancing heavy imaging trains. 

Curved radius blocks and mounting hardware include. Uses existing mounting holes in OTA. 18″ long, 4.0″ wide, .5″ thick, Wt. as shown 42 oz.

This is the perfect solution for balancing my Edge 8 HD when imaging. The XL bar gives plenty of flexibility to balance a heavy imaging train. Even with camera, filters, off axis guider and reducer hanging of the end of the scope I am no where near the end of the bar plus it's lighter than the old counterweights I used before.
The only reason for not giving 5 stars is that its a lot of money for a piece of, admittedly well engineered, metal.
