Acuter Maksy 60 Educational Telescope Discovery Set

An educational product for children aged 14+.

The Acuter Maksy 60 is a complete, fully functional telescope set with the added benefit of a removable discovery panel, which reveals the internal construction of an advanced Maksutov-Cassegrain optical system.

This compact and portable telescope is great for observing, learning about, and taking photos of the stars with your smartphone to keep a record of your observations.

The set includes a 60mm Diameter f=750 Maksutov-Cassegrain Telescope, a 37.5x (20mm) Eyepiece, a Projection Eyepiece, an Erect-image Diagonal, a Smartphone Adaptor (smartphone not included), and a Tabletop Tripod. It is supplied in a gift box with a carrying handle for easy transportation and instructions for use.

The Maksutov telescope is named after Dmitri Maksutov (1896-1964), a Soviet/Russian optician and astronomer who invented this telescope design in 1941. The Acuter Maksy 60 is the perfect way to follow in his footsteps in your discovery of the Universe!

NOTE: This educational product is suitable for children aged 5+ with adult supervision.

Never use this telescope to observe the Sun. Solar observing is dangerous and can be hazardous to eyesight.

All images and video in the following YouTube upload have been made with the Maksy 60 Maksutov-Cassegrain telescope and an iPhone X. The Newtony 50 shows nearly the same results with a lower magnification.
