I found it quite difficult to source a dovetail clamp suitable for mounting my guidescope and my
TelRad. Astro Essentials had the exact quality and size, all beautifully designed and engineered.

I recently purchased the iOptron Skyguider Pro and felt that there was to much play in the Dec Adaptor that came as standard. I thus acquired the WO Dec Adaptor that is a recommended alternative to the original Dec Adaptor but unfortunately discovered that the holes on the WO Dec adaptor do not match up with the standard iOptron Vixen Clamp that came with the iOptron Skyguider Pro. I thus thought I would then have to purchase the WO Vixen clamp,. When I contacted Flo for advice and to get a solution, I was advised that the WO Vixen clamp would clearly resolve my issue but was also advised of this clamp as a cheaper alternative.
I thus placed an order for this clamp and once I was able to confirm with Flo the measurements of the bolt hole locations of the WO Adaptor, they checked these with this clamp before shipping the clamp to myself.
I have to say that the customer service pre and post-sale from Flo has been exceptional in all of the purchases I have made to date. I wish other companies were as helpful and understanding. I wasn't sure if you could mention individuals in the review hence I haven’t but I trust the person who helped me knows who this review relates to.

Also, the clamp is excellent it is well made the knob / bolt to tighten down the clamp to the vixen rail is a little large and may get in the way for some but it is fine for my needs and offers a could amount of leverage to get a secure tight connection.
For everyone’s info the bolts that came with this clamp when I initially attached this to the WO Dec adaptor were fractionally long to achieve a solid connection, I was however able to add a couple of small washers to the bolts which rectified that potential issue.

Ideal for my purpose of attaching a guidescope to the dovetail bar on top of the main scope.

The mini Dovetail Clamp is perfect for mounting a 5mm guide Scope on a Skywatcher 72ED scope.

A very well built clamp that makes it so convenient to swap my finder scope from the big rig to the small rig. Will be buying another for a guide scope set-up.

This vixen dovetail clamp works so well, I am delighted. It does not just have a screw thread that pushes against the vixen ball, but a proper negative metal piece that is at the end of the screw thread. I have an Evo guide 50 attached to it using the standard fitting on the bottom of the camera mount and it moves up and down the vixen bar with ease.

A nice, solid and well made clamp that does what it is supposed to do. However, it does not open up quite wide enough to allow dovetail bars to be dropped in from the top - they have to be slid in from one end. This is a problem with bars that have mounting bolts protruding at each end (as many seem to do) and limits its usability somewhat.

Very good product. Fast delivery.
The only problem is the customs fee which became expensive.

Excellent service as usual from FLO. Clamp does what it says on the tin and makes fitting my ED50 and ASIAIR much easier. Feels solid for light items.
