Sharpstar 130 28HNT-AL f/2.8 Hyperbolic Newtonian Reflector
The new Sharpstar 13028HNT-AL features the same very fast optics as the outgoing 13028HNT telescope but now features an all-aluminium optical tube for enhanced structural stability of the optical axis.
Compared to a telescope with a focal ratio of f/4, the 13028HNT requires only around half the exposure time.
In addition, the compact design provides excellent portability for those who travel to dark-sky sites.
The hyperbolic primary mirror design produces sharp, round stars within the 44mm full-frame imaging circle.
The primary mirror is made from low-expansion PZ33 glass and has dielectric multilayer coatings that increase reflectance to 97%.
The corrector design is a two-refractive lens set, one of which is an ED glass.
The minor axis of the secondary mirror is 65mm, so it provides sufficient illumination for full-frame imaging.
Features
- The 13028HNT-AL tube-ring has a hollow design that is sturdy and durable.
- Enlarged hand screws enable users to open and close the tube-ring without additional tools.
- The rigid dual-speed rack-and-pinion focuser large provides 2cm of focusing travel (as much as possible within the structural limitations) and is compatible with most motorised focusers.
- The focuser is designed with an enlarged hand wheel, an integrated camera rotator and locking screw, and a built-in doublet corrector. The structure of the focuser is very stable and can carry loads weighing up to 3kg.
- The back focus of the 13028HNT-AL is the standard 55mm (from the M48 thread).
- Standard Vixen-style 290mm dovetail plate.
- The 130 28HNT-AL has an all-metal construction with an aluminium lens tube and CNC machined parts.
Please Note: The 13028HNT-AL focuser and rotator are shipped in a locked condition. Users should be sure to loosen the locking screws before initial use to avoid damage to the part.
