Decent for beginners who want to dive in more advanced stargazing methods. 28 February 2024 | Nikolaos
The telescope does what it promises and the mount is quite useful for tracking the trajectory of celestial objects with a single control (RA).
The reason I gave 4/5 stars is because the quality of the RA and DEC nobs is really bad and exhausting to use! The altitude and azimuth nobs are even worse!
They are hard to tighten or to loosen up, and even when they are fully tightened, the mount can still spin slowly around those axis and unalign itself from true north. It was
quite hard and exhausting to polar align the mount without getting unaligned by itself. I had to tighten the nobs with "all my will" while at the same time making sure
that Polaris was not getting out of my view. The screws and the gears also feel very low quality, probably they will last 2-3 years until I'll be forced to replace the whole mount and tripod.

FLO really is the first.
Delivery is fast.
I recommend it.

It's yet to be used in anger as we need to take it to somewhere less cloudy than Scotland, but we're very pleased with the quality of this scope for the price. Set up was easy and it feels sturdy and well put together.
Very impressive for a beginner 06 January 2017 | Richard
Easy to setup and use with excellent image quality. The moon looks superb with a suitable filter. The stand feels sturdy and robust and the scope is easy to remove from the stand for transportation/storage. Highly recommended for a newbie.

This may look like a daunting telescope if you have not had one before, but with a bit of research and preparation I found this a great scope to set up, get out back, and start viewing.
Once you master aligning the scope, and setting it up, you can comfortably enjoy viewing the starts and planets with ease.
Seeing Jupiter's beige shades, and the floor of the moon's craters make this scope a real treasure.
It is physically quite large obviously, so don't expect your 8 year-old to be able to manage it, and I use an EQ5 tripod which is very heavy, and gives much better viewing.

This telescope is amazing! The optics are superb and the mount is surprisingly good! I love the telescope so much.
I really do recommend this telescope.
