The iOptron ball head is made from high quality parts and comes with a dovetail plate to mount a DSLR. The screws are very well engineered and allow for gentle adjustment. Recommended.

No complaints on the piece, nicely made. Just be aware that the item comes with a dovetail plate, which you would expect but it easy to be fooled into buying an additional plate which whilst useful was not needed.

This is a solid item that feels well made. It holds my DSLR easily. The adjustment clutches are smooth and secure making adjustment easy. The service great as always.

Nice solid ball head which holds the camera well and allows for smooth movement of the optics to the desired position.

Simple to fit and setup, nice and rugged and holds the load of a mid-sized telephoto + dSLR without any sign of slippage. Only improvement I can see is to make the adjustment knobs a bit larger / more knurled so they've easier to use with gloves on.
