Baader Neutral Density Moon filters are multicoated, planoptically polished and genuinely neutral - they reduce brightness without affecting colour.
For telescope apertures around 4-10" select 0.9 density, a lower density can be selected for use with smaller aperture telescopes and a higher density for larger apertures.
Perfect for reducing the glare of the Moon and planets.

Baader Neutral Density Moon Filter 26 February 2021 | Gary
Fits perfectly with the Baader Hyperion Zoom. I have been fortunate in that I have been able to use the filter a few times already with excellent results. Highly recommended.

Not used this filter in anger yet (a drawback of living in Scotland), but once again impressed by the service from FLO.
Necessary add-on to Herschel wedge 06 November 2019 | Peter
I've never done solar observing but for the 2019 transit of Mercury I wanted to buy a Herschel wedge to go with my 80mm APO refractor. The Lunt was highly rated but came with the ND3 filter permanently fitted. It could not be removed without voiding the warranty. Also a polarising filter and narrowband filter would cost extra. The TS-Optics model came with the polarising and narrowband filters but not the ND3. So I ordered the Baader ND3 from FLO. The optical qualities of the Baader ND3 are well-known so don't need my opinion but the practicality of having an ND3 filter which screws beautifully into the TS wedge, after the prism but before the EP holder but also easily removable, was my principal reason for buying. So, when the two filters supplied by TS are screwed into the EP barrel it makes the complete set-up at a markedly lower cost than the Lunt. Sadly the sun has not shone since delivery from FLO so I can't give a practical review at this time but if we are lucky on 11th November perhaps I can add an addendum.
The only moon filter you need 06 March 2019 | Fabrice
To be honest I have two of these ND filter, 0.9 and 1.8. They both give really good results : I could see no change in "resolution" with and without and there is very little color shift (and no ghosting at all)
The 0.9 is well adapted to my C8, but I had to buy the 1.8 for low mag view on my C14.

Used this on my Skywatcher 130p scope and the results were incredible. Just the right amount of contrast, filtering and image quality for lunar viewing. Very impressed

Love my 0.9 2" filter with my 11" SCT, really provides the right amount of dimming to save my eyes from the brightness of the moon allowing me to view for longer periods.
