William Optics finder shoe
11 July 2024  |

This was conveniently placed to go with my Starfield 102 refractor. A perfect match very well made and finished to a high standard. A good price for a quality item by William Optics.
Many thanks to FLO for great service, prompt delivery.

great, well made

I got this because it looked like a cheaper one I'd got which was out of stock, but it's not, same design but thicker metal and really well made. Silly little screws included though.

Small but perfectly formed

This proved to be a gem of an add-on for my new (actually 2nd hand) refractor - fitted perfectly. I love dealing with FLO - the advice they're able to provide has always been useful and their delivery and returns setup is second to none. This purchase was a case in point.

Perfect for Starfield 102 ED-R

Fits perfectly on Starfield 102 refractors (and the other badged ones too!). Typical WO quality, nice and solid.

Excellent upgrade
23 September 2022  |

I bought this to fit an AstroEssentials Crayford focuser which I had recently purchased to replace the stock focuser on my Skywatcher 150mm refractor. Very well made and easy to fit, just remove the two grub screws protecting the threads in the focuser, offer up the finder shoe and attach with the supplied screws. My finderscope is secured within the shoe by two screws. Absolute steal at under twenty quid.

Very well build and solid!

I order two of these and I'm very happy with them. I have both on my William Optics Zenithstar 73 III. And they fit like a glove. This product is made of aluminum. I don't think the description said that.
It´s perfekt for the ZWO Asiair plus. I really recommend this product

Excellent fit even on curved surfaces
25 January 2022  |

I bought two of these finder shoes for the same purpose. One was attached to the focus draw tube of my WO FLT120 and the other was attached to the Pro Astro Gear 3D printed mount for the Redcat51.

Installation was easy (all screws are provided) and the shoes sits snuggly on both flat and curved surfaces. There's slots in horizontal and vertical directions so this will cater for different screw hole layouts for different telescopes.

Two thumbscrews are provided which holds my ASI Air Pro nice and securely. Fully recommended!

Ideal accessory
18 November 2021  |

Bought this accessory to fit to my Z73 scope as a mounting point for a ZWO ASIAR. Easy to install, ASIAR fits perfectly. An ideal addition to your Scope if you want to keep things neat and tidy with shorter rather than longer cables.

Excellent for mounting ASIAir Pro on ZS61
11 June 2021  |

Excellent build quality and does the exact thing I need it to (allow for the ASIAir Pro to be mounted on the ZS61). Thanks Alex for the brilliant suggestion and as always, the first class quick service from FLO.

Fits William Optics Zenithstar 61 II APO but with a caution
24 March 2021  |

I bought this base so that I could attach an ASIAIR Pro to my William Optics Zenithstar 61 II APO. The good news is it fits and does the job but with a couple of provisos.

First, do not use the screws which are included with the base, use the screws you remove from the scope instead. For this scope the given screws are too long. I suspected that when I saw them but nonetheless did cautiously try them for fit. If screwed home they will foul the focusing tube; I now have a very tiny scratch on mine as witness.

Second, the base is made for a larger diameter scope. In reality this actually doesn’t make a huge difference and it still sits securely on the tube. I thought it might rock, but it doesn’t.

Overall it’s very well made and I’m pleased with it - does what I ask of it.
