The new Celestron CGX-L mount is essentially a more heavy-duty version of the recently released CGX with larger 144 mm diameter worm wheels, an impressive 34 kg load capacity, additional conveniently placed Aux accessory ports, longer dovetail saddle for greater rigidity, large 70 mm diameter stainless steel tripod legs and a more hefty 31.5 mm stainless steel counterweight shaft.

Very pleased with my new CGX-L mount. Easy to set up and polar align using the Celestron all star polar alignment. The only thing I don't like is the cable for the hand controller is too short. Fortunately only required for set up!
