Celestron Luminos eyepieces deliver ultra-wide 82 degree fields of view and high-end features such as twist-up eyecups, parfocal design (little or no refocusing required when changing to another Luminos eyepiece) premium quality fit and finish and a hard anodised surface for durability.

82 degree Field - Wide FOV for high and low magnifications.
Fully multicoated, edge blackened optics - for maximum light transmission and high contrast.
Retractible eyecups - Ultra-low profile for eyeglass wearers
Parfocal eyepiece - Little or no focusing is needed when changing from low to high power.
Threaded barrels - Accepts 1.25" Celestron thread-in filters.
Polished and hard anodised Aluminium barrel - Scratch resistant and high end appearance.
Rubber gripping ring - For secure handling and smooth control of eyecup.

Superb build quality

I was immediately impressed with the superb build quality and stylish appearance. It really looks the part even if it is not relevant to functioning of the eyepiece as such. It is quite solid and heavy. The eyecup extends really smoothly and holds the eye in the exact position needed to see the whole field of view. The image is crisp and flat to the edges and the colours vibrant. This was viewed on a terrestrial object, just need a few less clouds to view the Moon and upcoming planets

This ep was to replace a Celestron X-cel 9mm ep, what a difference! Looks really good, handles well and the screw up eyecup is a joy! excellent clarity and pin sharp stars, I am really pleased with this ep and recommend it to all!
