About this product

Model: stellamira_ff_m48_adptr

This useful adapter fits StellaMira flatteners / reducers in place of the included M42 adapter.

Simply unscrew the M42 adapter from the top of the flattener / reducer then screw on this M48 adapter.

May also fit other brands.

Not suitable for the StellaMira Adjustable flattener.

I wasn't sure if this was the correct adapter to connect an OVO flattener to a ZWO cooled camera so I emailed for advice. They quickly confirmed it was the right one so ordered it and it arrive next day. Yes, it is indeed the right one so great. The permutations of adapters in astrophotography are large and confusing so one less problem for me now. Thanks for great service FLO.

Useless and expensive

The m48 ring is almost a mockery because you will hardly gain anything in vignetting. The flattener's output light passes from 39mm to 42mm in the transition from the m42 thread (originally supplied with the flattener) to the m48 one. If you want to buy this ring to increase the output light, DON'T DO IT.
If you only want to change the thread, it is worth buying a simple M42-M48 adapter.
This adapter cost me 42 euros due to postage and customs fees.
