Specs:
I have a SkyWatcher 80mm ED refractor (champagne finish) and was using it for visual stargazing and first attempts at astrophotography. Recently got an OVL Hyperflex zoom eyepiece which is very good but heavy, and I found if I rotated the diagonal so the eyepiece was not vertical, the whole assembly would slip round, as the supplied 2" to 1.25" adapter couldn't hold it firmly enough. Decided to go for the Baader adapter and this most certainly does the job very well. Holds the diagonal and eyepiece or ZWO camera rock-solid at any angle with the compression ring. Has a quality look and feel to it, and not that expensive (in astro-gear terms!). I am now a Baader gear fan.The usual very efficient, painless transaction from F.L.O.
The reducer is extremely well made as one expects from Baader and the service from FLO is second to none. When I have a purchase in mind FLO is my first call.
Item does what it should. But usual great and fast service from FLO. Thanks guys
The adapter arrived quickly in good order. I’ve not had much opportunity to use it in practice yet, but a quick test on my ‘scope shows it’s a robust, quality item at a reasonable price.
Top bit of kit. Well made, grips eyepieces securely without marking. Allows direct camera connection with t2 by unscrewing a ring.
Bought this to replace the 1.25" to 2" adapter on a stock Startravel 120 focuser.I had already replaced the 45 degree prism diagonal with a 90 degree mirror diagonal and added a heavy Baader eyepiece in place of the stock 10mm / 25mm eyepieces that come with the scope. The new train, and any subsequent train additions I might accumulate in the future we just a bit loose in the stock 1.25" to 2" adaptor, this new adaptor, although I've not had weather to put it to use, make the train a far firmer fit, and the grasping mechanism is less likely to damage or impinge on the diagonal. At the time it was a toss up between completely changing the focuser for the Crayford type (which looks to have a better adaptor, or just get this for the time being).I'm pretty happy for what it is, arrived quickly even by 1st Class Royal Mail.
really the item was very good .
This adaptor from BAADER is a fantastic..It securely keeps my 1.25" Tak diagonal SECURE AT ANY ANGLE even with heavy EPs Highly recommended if you don't want your precious EPs falling out and in focus position always!
