Optical Bench Test
FLO tests all William Optics triplet refractor telescopes before dispatch.
You can be confident your telescope will, from the outset, have well figured optics, negligible false colour and spherical aberration, and no astigmatism (the bane of any optical system!).
Star shapes will be round, not triangular, oval or egg-shaped!
With the new FLT120, William Optics has added another very high-quality triplet APO to its product range.
With its triplet 120mm fully multicoated F6.5 ED optics, the FLT120 will appeal to the discerning astrophotographer and Visual Observer.
The FPL53 Triplet APO Optics deliver superb contrast and excellent colour correction.
The ultra-smooth, heavy-duty 3.3" Rack & Pinion focuser with 1:10 fine focus mechanism can handle the heaviest cameras and imaging instrumentation without slippage or flexure.
Thoughtful design features like the integrated saddle handle, 360º field rotator, 2" Rotolock, large focuser knob and built-in Bahtinov mask make this telescope an excellent choice for astrophotographers.
The FLT120 is available in Red, Gold or Space Grey.

I could not be happier with my new WO FLT120. I have been using it with the 68III flattener and right out of the box, following the recommended back focus settings, I'm getting beautiful sharp images. There is a real feel of quality with this OTA, everything is rock solid and with no measurable tilt to speak of, it is a joy to use.
