A cutting-edge, Japanese-made telescope for the modern digital astrophotography era!

The fluorite triplet optics have a Strehl ratio of 98% and an RMS radius of approximately two microns from the centre to the periphery of the full frame. The peripheral illumination is approximately 70% or more. 

The FCT65D features a native focal length of 400mm and a focal ratio of f/6.2. Takahashi have released a high-performance optically-matched 0.65x Focal Reducer that fits directly into the telescope's large 95mm focuser flange. When used with the reducer, the FCT-65D telescope becomes a 260mm focal length instrument that operates at f/4! The FCT-65D can also be used with the Takahashi Multi Flattener.

A camera angle adjuster is standard for this model.

Optional 95mm inside diameter aluminium tube rings (TKA11420) and a matching Vixen-compatible dovetail plate (TKA11423) are also available.
