Tripod for my Seestar S50
26 November 2024  |

Very sturdy and Ideal as an elevated base for my ZWO Seestar S50 (age catches up eventually!!). Literally received today so only used in a static mode, but very pleased. In conjunction with a levelling adapter, very easy to set up. Thanks FLO for your usual efficiency and speed.

Sturdy and lightweight

I purchased this tripod for my Skywatcher Adventurer 2i. It is more than strong enough to provide a stable base for it and my dslr. Very pleased.

Fits my sky watcher star adventurer 2i pro very well and is sturdy, a big downside in my opinion is the lack of a carry bag.

Nice tripod
14 June 2024  |

I have two of these tripods with extension pillars one I use for my HA telescope this I got for my seestar as it's to low for me as I am getting older
I did first try a camera tripod but it moves as you level the seestar, this one is light but rock solid and puts the seestar at a nice height it's very nicely made but not over engineered, if your looking for a grab and go tripod then this one is what you need

Solid tripod - one design flaw
13 June 2024  |

So, I would say this is the best tripod around for many uses. It is quite solid while not being as heavy as the steel alternatives. It has one issue. This is that you extend the legs with twist and the leg tubes are only glued into the receptacles at the top of the tripod. The glue breaks and the leg spins. Not a disaster in that you can use two hands and solve the problem but a design flaw really. I solved this problem by drilling holes and then inserting rivets and really that is something that should have been done at the factory ... Only took me 15 minutes but, of course, I had a drill, a rivet gun and rivets. I still recommend the tripod but just be aware and, really, there is no equivalent alternative. I actually did try (before buying this) a Celestron tripod (eBay bargain) but that was not nearly as good as this.

A perfect match for the Star Adventurer
10 May 2024  |

Bought this for my Star Adventurer 2i. It is a light-weight but sturdy tripod, and the top is exactly the same diameter as the ST's equatorial wedge, making the whole assembly look great. The black and white tripod matches the ST's livery and is expendable. My only reason for awarding 4 stars instead of 5 is that the white paintwork could be better. However, this isn't very noticeable and doesn’t affect the tripod's functionality. It was very good value for money (£79) so I shouldn’t grumble!

Soild piece of kit
19 April 2023  |

I bought this to accompany the star adventurer 2i. The tripod is extremely stable and lightweight. Delivery took a little longer than stated but this was mainly due to there being no stock and the purchase being between Xmas and new year. FLO organised my order to come straight from the warehouse so it meant this would speed the delivery up. Great customer care as always.
Highly recommended.

Sturdy mount for the Star Adventure
09 March 2021  |

Good review for this bit of kit. I previously had my Star Adventurer mounted on an old camera tripod which for the most part was fine but it just never felt sturdy. Mounted on this tripod its like a rock. Perfect for a travelling set up. My only issue and I have read this with a lot of the reviews is that there is no carry case. I would have liked a purpose built travel case for it but its not the end of the world and for those who are purchasing a new Star Adventure, I recommend this all day lonh

Great much for the Star adventurer
18 November 2020  |

The tripod is well made and really light to carry around. It fits perfectly with the Star Adventurer and if placed correctly on solid ground, it will stay there during the night without any problems. Only thing I miss from this product is a soft case to make carrying it around easier. This last thing is the only reason I'm rating it 4/5.
