Model: EQ1economymotorPart Number: 20449
Can be fitted to any telescope supplied with the EQ1 equatorial mount.
Provides single-speed (1x Sidereal) motor tracking of the R.A. axis.
Battery-powered.
Note: Once fitted use the motor to move the telescope manually (not the slow-motion controls).
I was a little unsure about buying this item, as the picture looked slightly different to what I wanted, but the specifications matched. It does indeed fit my Celestron Powerseeker EQ-1 Mount, and has been used twice, once to accuratly track the planets, and once to track the moon. On both occasions, it worked well. It can be a little bit fiddly to get it at the right speed, but following some adjustments it seemed to be working well, and during a 20s exposure, there were very little, if any, star trails. Very Pleased with this purchase, Would reccomend to others as an excellent budget motor drive.
Simple to fit simple to use. Expecting another delivery of an EQ2 anytime time now .
good little motor, but battery dont last long, pp3 square type, fits well on to sky-watcher eq1 easy. one alan screw on side and its on, and you screw the shaft on to the RA knob its easy, you have to keep a ey on the speed, has the motor runs away a little, or gains a bit. it does work, i tracked the moon for ages with camera on the mak 90.
