The new patented Rotarion CAM 2.5" is the bigger brother to the 1.25"/2" Eyepiece Wheel with a huge payload capacity and large 2.5" ports for larger sensors and the smallest back-focus distance (only 29.5mm!) on the market.

This is an ideal choice for operating multiple imaging trains on a single telescope and is perfect for remote, autonomous operation.

At FLO, we use one of these in our remote solar observatory in Spain, attached to a 10" StellaLyra Classical Cassegrain telescope. The ROTARION Cam 2.5" enables us to have 4x imaging payloads attached to a single scope making it usable for high-resolution planetary, lunar and deep sky imaging just by changing the payload remotely through the ASCOM driver and remote software. This allows us to image in different seeing conditions and pick different fields of view to suit each night's desired targets. We have found it to be ultra-reliable and incredibly accurate when changing payload, ensuring even small targets remain on the centre of each sensor. And, because of the huge payload capacity, in addition to cameras, we also have additional optics such as barlows / reducers on certain imaging trains.
