About this product
Model: sw_azp_1145ps
Part Number: 10258
New SkyHawk-1145PS AZ Pronto Telescope and Mount.
Easy to use, no fuss, grab-and-go telescope for visual astronomy.
With an extremely useful 114mm of light gathering aperture and a superb parabolic primary mirror, the SKYHAWK-1145PS is a highly capable all-rounder for the observation of the Moon, bright planets, nebulae, galaxies and star clusters.
The well engineered and easy to use AZ PRONTO Alt-Azimuth mount provides excellent stability and precise control, via its slow motion cables, on both the horizontal (azimuth) and vertical (altitude) axes.
Includes handy red dot finderscope.
NOTE: The 1145PS telescope has a non-collimateable primary mirror which is collimated during manufacturing. Some adjustment can be made to collimation with the secondary mirror but we have found, as long as the scope arrives to you in collimation then it holds collimation very well over time.

Very happy with this package. Its so portable and the mount is so easy to use, the tripod is nice and sturdy and folds away easy, although the accessory tray is a bit of a fiddle but made all the more easier by turning the tripod upside down (without the mount on!), as it screws from underneath. The telescope gives clear images of the moon, is lightweight and fits easily to the mount in a matter of seconds, great to grab and go. The supplied eyepieces are decent but it would be worth buying a decent Barlow lens, say x2 or x3 magnification.
The only downside for me is that before I bought this scope I did an awful lot of research and joined some astronomy groups online. I'm in the predicament that this scope has left me a little disappointed because I want to see what the professionals are seeing, and you simply can't with this scope. I also had some binoculars before hand so I don't think this scope was a good upgrade for me. But that's for me and my circumstances. If you've never owned a telescope or binoculars before then this scope is superb and gives views of the moon which will really excite you. Highly recommended for the complete novice, but for me and my little bit of experience I'm already looking at upgrading, but thats my error not the telescopes, the scope is great 🙂.
Rated 5 stars because it really is a great scope that gives crystal clear images for the begginer. Also because the price is fantastic and the customer service from FLO is unbeatable. I really can't recommend them enough!
