Everything as expected, nice metal screw caps in both ends.

Construction seems fine although the lock ring on the front of the lens was a little loose. Delivery time was great considering it was over seas. My only complaint would be that the item was obviously used with dust all over the lens…it should have been appropriately sold as open box not as a new item .

Again a quality piece of kit from SkyWatcher even the end caps are metal , a light and very usable addition to the already versatile evoguide 50ed scope .

I haven't had a change for first light with this yet, because of course it has been cloudy since this shipped. However, I love my EvoGuide 50ED so much more than other guide scopes (really I do!) that I felt the ED doublet deserved the accompanying flattener. This will still primarily serve as a guide scope for me, but I will also play with imaging using it.

Flat stars to the edge, very nice product. I just wish the specs were listed on the webpage. Does it reduce at all? What's the % ect. No info given. Frustrating. It does yield flat stars to the edge!
