Astro Essentials 0.5x 2" Focal Reducer
Designed and manufactured by Guan Sheng Optical (GSO) in Taiwan.
This useful 0.5x focal reducer can be used with a wide range of modern CCD cameras and eyepieces.
The doublet optical system features fully multicoated glass elements for enhanced contrast.
The 2" / M48x0.75 filter-thread screws into regular 2" eyepieces, cameras and other photographic accessories to achieve a 40% increase in field of view.
Effectively reduces the focal telescope's focal length by 50%.
NOTE 1: The exact focal reduction varies slightly depending on the position of the Focal Reducer relative to the eyepiece' optics or, when imaging, to the camera's imaging sensor.
NOTE 2: Not recommended for short focal ratio systems.

Focal Length Reducer for the Guiding Optical Train. 29 June 2024 | Ian
This reducer was purchased to increase the field of view of my guiding system telescope. Consequently, a top class item (as needed for inclusion within an imaging optical train) was not deemed to be essential. The device, together with the nosepiece adapter made incorporation of the device pretty straightforward. However, I found it necessary to submit a query to FLO concerning the required separation between the device and the camera sensor; additionally, I needed to ask where the datum was for this measurement. FLO responded quickly, and fully, but I would suggest that these items are included with the other technical details on your website commentary about the reducer.
