Optical Bench Test
FLO tests all Evostar 150ED Pro telescopes before dispatch.
From the outset, you can be confident your telescope will have well figured optics, negligible false colour and spherical aberration, and no astigmatism (the bane of any optical system!).
Star shapes will be round, not triangular, oval or egg-shaped!
The price includes a pre-dispatch optical bench test.

Telescope
The Evostar 150ED DS Pro telescope features a doublet objective lens with one Extra-Low Dispersion (ED) glass element.
Each air-to-glass surface has multiple anti-reflection coatings applied to ensure optimum light transmission, approaching 99.5%!
The proprietary Sky-Watcher “Metallic High-Transmission Coatings” (MHC) are the finest photon anti-rejection coatings in their class.
Note: The Evostar-150ED has a different objective lens glass combination to the Evostar-80ED/100ED/120ED models.
Mount
The EQ6-R Pro mount offers a payload capacity of 20kg for Astro-Photography (manufacturer's spec'), so it has no difficulty carrying the 150ED DS Pro.
Synchronous Belt Drive for reduced backlash, smoother operation, better guiding results, and higher torque.
Improved Latitude adjustment controls with a greater range of latitudes possible.
Built-in SNAP camera control port.
PPEC worm gear and worm periodic error correction function (avoids having to constantly re-train).
Built-in carrying handle for convenient transportation and setup and a dual-fit 45mm (Vixen-style) or 75mm (Losmandy-style) dovetail saddle.
