About this product
Model: opt_clear_focus_125
Optolong Clear Focussing Filter
Optolong Clear focusing filter is designed to pass the visible spectral in the region of 420-680nm at 98.5% transmission
It Could also be used as a luminance filter with telescopes that do not use refractive optics IE Newtonian, Ritchey Chretien and Classical Cassegrain Instruments.
Available in both 1.25" and 2" mounted sizes.
The Optolong Clear focusing filter is designed to highly pass the visible spectral region 420-680nm at 98.5% transmission.
Main Use
The use of astrophotography filters, especially narrowband filters, often results in dim images which can be difficult to focus. A clear focusing filter can be used first to clearly focus the image.
Use with modified DSLRs for higher efficiency and sensitivity by passing visible range with 98.5% transmission.
Also acts as an outstanding dust shield, which prevents the possibility of dust settling on the lens during long time exposure.
