I purchased this filter as I wanted to get into wide field imaging using camera lenses for constellation imaging. It is a well made filter and deals with light pollution as well as any other light pollution filter. As for the star enhancing part, I was expecting the filter to bloat the brighter stars slightly to make them stan out more. Well, it does bloat them, but way to much for my taste ! It's like the effect you get when a lens had dewed up and stars are surrounded by big fuzzy halos. I expect you could achieve the same effect by breathing on the lens - an old photography trick to achieve soft focus. Maybe the bloating effect changes with focal length making it more suited to wide angle lenses. This is a filter that you will either love or hate depending on your taste. I sort of lean towards the latter !
