Puns aside... Its does make a difference to have a proper counterweight as appose to a dumbbell weight or an old shoe hanging off the end of your bar so do yourself a favour and get one. Oh and get one from FLO because they'll have delivered to you nice and quick and you'll get to leave a silly review like mine.

I use it with an AVX mount, it fits perfectly. I now can balance the mount with a lightweight Redcat 51 as I live at 21 latitude and the original counterweight hit the lat knob. Thanks FLO for the fast delivery and the help about this product.

I needed a smaller counter weight for my CEM26, the supplied 4.7Kg was just to heavy.
Why so much for a lump of iron? Well the machining of the locking screw is first rate, with a brass clamping bush so as not to damage the counter weight bar.

It's a counterweight. It was heavy, but not as heavy as some.... I mean it's a weight, so I guess you expect that. It has a hole in it, like a doughnut, but don't try to eat it. I now need to see a dentist!!

In all seriousness, it does the job, original item, no complaints - now I can view the universe.

I use an extension bar including this 2kg weight for my CEM25P mount and it helped me achieve balance with a large Bresser Messier AR-127L telescope (8kg).
