Identical weight to the original supplied with the mount so won't present any surprises. Shouldn't need to have to buy one with 8" EdgeHD fitted but the rig needs extra weight to get the correct balance. Was looking for one half the weight but none available. Like the recess on one side to allow you to fix it over the toe stop if you so desire.

I needed this to balance a triplet Apo on my AVX mount, and it just works. It's the same as the as-supplied item, works the exact same way, has the countersink for the toe protector at the end of the counterweight bar, and the weight tightens correctly onto the bar and does not slip.
It's certainly better than trying to add weight by any other method!
