High-quality 2" 4-element Photo-Visual Coma Corrector

Designed and manufactured by Guan Sheng Optical (GSO) in Taiwan. 

Reduces coma and field curvature.

Designed for fast Newtonian telescopes with focal ratios f/3-f/6 but optimised for around f/4.

This modular design includes a 2" eyepiece holder with two large thumbscrews and a non-marring brass compression ring (won't mark your eyepiece barrels). 

For astrophotography, the eyepiece holder can be removed to reveal an M48 thread for connecting a camera and includes an M48-M42/T2 adapter.

Increases magnification slightly (approximately 1.1x) and has a back focus requirement of approx 75mm.  So, for example, when using a Canon/Nikon DSLR camera with 55mm back focus (including a standard thickness M48 ring to fit the camera), you will need an approx 20mm long spacer between the corrector and M48 ring.

I have several scopes, flatteners and reducers from this brand and the quality has all ways been high so seemed like a no brainer to try their coma corrector.

Blown away with the effect this coma corrector has on my favourite Maxvision 24mm 82degree eyepiece through my 12” f/4.9 dob; it simply cleans up the coma and tightens up the stars perfectly; I used 1 x 12mm & 1 x 7mm extension ring making 19 total, I can't see myself using the Morpheus 17.5 without it, as switched from the 24mm Maxvision back to the Morpheus 17.5 and found it to need that last 5% improved. After my focuser upgrade, this is the best addition to my Dobsonian; very impressed.
