For use with Skywatcher SupaTrak, AZ GoTo, EQ3-2, EQ5, HEQ5, NEQ6 and EQ6i mounts. Also suitable for ZWO-cooled cameras and other astronomy accessories that require a 2.1mm centre positive, 12v power supply.

Each lead is individually tested for electrical continuity, shorts and power load during manufacture.

Another great Lynx Astro product 01 December 2024 | Sandy
I was looking to buy a reasonable priced power supply for my Skywatcher AZI GTi mount but the obvious choice was not in stock and I spotted this cable when looking at alternatives. Excellent choice as I already have a 12 volt power supply with a cigarette plug socket, not "low noise" as it was bought years ago to inflate a camping mattress but good enough, and the cable of course can also be used in remote dark sites powered from the car. Have been impressed by other Lynx Astro items I have bought in recent years and this is no exception. Looks well made and flexible. Pity it doesn't come in a 10 metre length - I'll have to consider buying the 5 metre extension for using telescope further down the garden. when viewing objects in the northern & north eastern sky. As I commented on another item from same order, my only real complaint is that FLO stuck a misleading label on the box saying "may come with clouds" - No! It DOES come with clouds, no "may" about it!

This is a nice heavy duty cable better than the one I was using. I have only used it once. The build quality is very good.
I bought two of these (the cigg ones) but they went bad 15 July 2024 | Anas
I bought two of these, 2m, its the Cigarette version
I had two different issues.
One cable came without the orange ring inside the 2.1mm plug. and for that it doesn't hold still. many here said they experience disconnections. I reckon it's the same issue that I had.
The other issue is that the cable is not really flexible at the end of the 5.5mm x 2.1mm. it doesn't hold very well with bending after a year or so the connection between the cable and the 5.5mm 2.1mm started to wear out until it broke.
The cable it self feels solid and heavy duty. but these two issues were too much.
Response:
We see very very few issues with the Lynx Astro cables so everytime we hear of one we want to investigate - these will still be under warranty so please get in touch to arrange to get these back to us for inspection and repair.

Great cable, remains flexible sub zero, not sure how low, UK based, but all other cables had become stiff and unmanageable. Only caveat is make sure you get the 2.1mm or 2.5mm as needed they are different items, I ordered the wrong one initially.

The cable was delivered quickly and well packaged from FLO - excellent service. The cable is as described. The fittings at each end are very secure and the fitting into the ASI / AM5 is secure and robust.

These aren’t the cheapest cables but you really do get what you pay for. It wasn’t much more than I paid for an iOptron cable but it’s a massive upgrade.
I’m going to upgrade all my power patch leads to Lynx now, I’m that impressed. The other night saw the temperature here drop to zero but these cables were still totally soft and flexible while my other cables (Pegasus and iOptron) were stiff and difficult to manage.
If you want to get the best out of those cold, crisp winter nights then these should be on your wish list.

Strong and durable
Best power leads I’ve encountered 26 February 2023 | Richard
Ok firstly, totally my mistake, I ordered the wrong size dc plug, needed 2.5mm but ordered 2.1mm. Easily resolved with an adapter.
These leads are great, they stay flexible in the cold nights and you can feel they have good strength and quality and feel assured they will deliver the power needed. Another good quality is the way they plug in at either end, you can feel that they’re in securely and won’t fall out without a good tug. The only slight change from previous ones I’ve had, is the led light on the cigar plug is much brighter but it actually acts as nice glow light to the pier as it’s situated on the support arm below. Excellent quality and I have come to expect no less from Flo as their products have always been reliable and well made/built. Thanks Flo
Ring Tongues not far enough apart 03 February 2023 | Andrew
I bought the version with ring tongues to use with a 50Ah LiFePO4 battery. It’s a well built cable, but arranged so that the maximum distance between the ring tongues is 12cm. My battery terminals were 15cm apart, so in order to use the cable I had to snip a sealing band and make a slit in the silicone sheath. It now looks a mess.
Response:
This is a first for us - these are usually more than far enough apart for most uses so this must be an exceptional use case - if anybody else has similar issuses or batteries with terminals that far apart please contact us prior to ordering and we can produce a custom version of this cable.
