Good temperature sensor

Does the job for determining temperature for remote focussing via the EAF. Thanks to FLO for usual great service and delivery.

Not working correctly
20 June 2023  |

After several nights of use the sensor is not working correctly… the temperature measurements fluctuate about 4-6C every 2-3 minutes so the EAF goes into the autofocus process with every shot of the camera. Maybe I’m doing something wrong but for now this sensor was useless for me.

Three stars and not just one because the service from FLO is always amazing!!

A good lead but could be improved or offer an option

What can I say, it’s just a temp sensor and works well with the eaf. My only gripe, is I would have preferred if it had an angled connector to the eaf as does the short USB lead just so it doesn’t stick with risk of it getting snagged. But again it’s not a big deal as I bought an angle adapter which works perfectly well. Thanks Flo

Great when it works
19 February 2023  |

I've had mixed luck with this sensor.
I use is to determine when to refocus and i calculated (based on the length of my scope, the materials etc) that i need to refocus ever 1.2C (if i am really strict) or 1.5C (if i m not). When it works, it is great and NINA does it thing without any problems. However, recently the sensor readings started to fluctuate by a couple of degrees on every reading, which makes the whole "refocus after change" somewhat pointless.
Why this happened, i don't know. also it is not consistent. it sometimes works and sometimes it doesn't.

EAF temperature sensor

Simple little plug in sensor at the end of a short wire. I have checked it's accuracy with an outside sensor and they agreed for the most part. It's a must for the EAF if you intend a nights imaging. First class service from FLO again.

Zwo temperature sensor for EAF.

Good price and reasonable delivery. However, I am still waiting for the missing spacers for the Zwo anti dew heater which were missing from the delivery on the 09/10/21.

Haven't had a chance to use yet, waiting for the autofocuser to come into stock.
Once again delivery was very quick, so that deserves 5 star

EAF Temperature Sensor
05 November 2020  |

I have seen comments that the EAF has a built in temperature sensor and this is not needed, but I believe this to be incorrect. Using the ASIAIR controller, the reported EAF temperature was 12°C before this probe was fitted and 2°C after installation! The temperature certainly changed over the night I have used it and thus can be used to automate EAF operation. It uses the same socket as the hand controller, so obviously both cannot be used simultaneously.
