For the life of me I don't know why Sky-Watcher didn't supply this as standard at maybe a slightly higher price.

However, their loss is ADMs gain & a wonderfully well made saddle it is. What you spend on this you'll save on ruined mount plates.

This ADM dovetail saddle is a great upgrade over the stock gti saddle.
My stock saddle has been OK and done the job fine but after seeing various owners of the gti saddle breaking and most recent someone coming back to their rig on the floor damaged due to a snapped saddle I thought nows the time to get one ..
It gives that bit of extra peace of mind knowing my expensive imaging rig is secure on the mount plus it won't give any more indentations on the dovetail from the stock bolt biting into it..
Great sturdy saddle , expensive but worth it if you value your gear..

Excellent quality gives me peace of mind when mounting thousands of pounds worth of equipment to the Star Adventurer GTI.

I bought this to upgrade my Star Adventurer GTi mount. I've never liked the single screw securing arrangement fitted to the Star Adventurers especially as they won't take a Losmandy style plate. Great service from FLO as usual, and I was impressed with the build quality of the mounting plate. Installing it on the mount is simplicity itself taking only a minute or two. At nearly £100 it isn't cheap but I still think it is good value, though I will admit it is a nice to have item as opposed to being essential.

This dual plate isn't totally necessary but gives you better mounting options on the SA GTi. As with all ADM equipment it's really well made. FLO also provide a great speedy service and I can highly recommend them.
