This item works well with a couple of desiccant sachets added inside the unscrewed lid, the item is also a good colour match for the FLT 91 which holds the desiccant cap nice and secure enabling the cap to do its job keeping unwanted moisture out of the scope, full credit to FLO delivery arrived in 24hrs many thanks.

This item is a necessity from my point of view and the item is definitely one of quality. It is a little expensive in my opinion but I suppose what price will you pay to protect an expensive scope from damp and fungal contamination thereafter. Flo's customer service is top class as always and the reason why they are my main suppliers, thanks all at Flo.

Very happy with the desiccant cap itself, though as with many threaded things of this nature, the squealing of the threads during undoing and re-attaching the lid might drive you mad. The remedy for this was to wipe both threads with some Pledge polish, though I am sure others will work equally well. A very small amount squirted onto some kitchen towel then rubbed around both threads does the trick nicely. No more squealing and much smoother turning!

As for the supplied desiccant sachets, although these are punctured with pinholes, I am not really convinced about the efficacy of this approach. The desiccant itself was certainly too small to empty into the holder, but I am fortunate enough to already have a tub of large desiccant granules which would not fit through the airholes in the bottom of the cap. However, I still took the precaution of putting these in a micromesh bag (supplied courtesy of my personal astronomy supplier, aka wife) that should allow rather better air circulation than the supplied sachets.

I've actually got two of these, one for my Equinox 120ED and one of Evolux 62ED. They are very effective at preventing moisture build-up inside the lens. Very important if you want to avoid wrecking kit that you've invested heavily in, worth every penny.

A well made and well fitting aluminum desiccant cap. The lid unscrews to allow the desiccant to be placed inside. The desiccant beads change color when full of moisture. Great for peace of mind. First class service from FLO

Does exactly what it says but be aware that it only is a very loose fit in a 2" Baader click lock. You will need to fit it to a 2" to 1.25" adapter to gain a tight fit.

SEEMS TROUBLE FREE, JUST POP IT INTO THE EYEPIECE HOLDER. NO INSTRUCTIONS ,SO NOT SURE WHETHER HOW MANY BAGS TO USE OR SHOULD IT BE USED LOOSE ( DOES THE MOISTURE EXTRACT THROUGH THE PLASTIC? )

J'apprécie ce produit pour sa qualité de construction qui est tout en métal . Cela doit bien fonctionner pour chasser l'humidité dans un tube fermé .
Il fallait y penser !

Your scope needs this . Look after the insides of your scope so the moisture doesn’t ruin the lens coatings etc. A must have for taking care of your optics .
