This Astro Essentials M48 to T thread adapter converts the M48 male thread found on Skywatcher reducers and flatteners to a regular male M42 T2 thread.
CNC machined aluminium so strong enough to carry heavy setups without flexing.
Convenient knurled grip for easy fitting and removal.
Matt-black anodising to reduce reflections.
Adds only 6.2 mm to optical path.
Female M48 thread one side, male T thread the other.
5.2mm of M48 female threads.
5mm of M42 male threads.
11.2mm overall.
Does exactly what is needed. Well cut threads, low profile.
I previously imaged using a DSLR camera and T2 adapter fitted directly onto an adjustable field flattener (WO73A on a Zenithstar 73mm APO). When it came to fitting my ZWO camera and Starlight express filter-wheel, this M48 to M42 adapter worked perfectly. The equipment is very secure and I'm confident it will not shift as the telescope tracks. and slews. I originally ordered an adapter which would have added 16.5mm to the imaging train - too much for my particular set up. When I realised my mistake, I contacted FLO who immediately rectified my error and reimbursed me the small difference - all before the incorrect item had been sent.Once again, excellent service from FLO.
Was using a DSLR and wanted to hook up a 224mc to a specific field flattener. Picked this one and it did the trick. The threads fitted perfectly
It does the job, well constructed with good knurling. It only gets 4 stars as this item needed a bit of bedding in to fit smoothly. compared with other T2 spacers I have from FLO.
I needed this to connect my 383L and EFW-2 onto my WO RedCat51. It does the job perfectly, and delivery was nice and quick as usual from FLO.
This is just what I needed to connect to my filter wheel to the Skywatcher 80mm field flattner on my Orion ED80Tried using the Baader adapter before but the threads were too short causing the filter to twist off and also difficult to remove. This one is a lot betterPlenty of thread so no filter wheel twisting off and a good grip on the outside ring making it easy to remove.
