About this product
Model: es_62_26mm
Part Number: 0219626
For their 62° series Explore Scientific have sacrificed maximum field of view (62° is moderate these days) to deliver high performance and premium build quality at an affordable price.
Fully multicoated edge-blackened optics deliver high contrast, maximum light transmission and freedom from ghosting. The resolution is excellent and edge-to-edge field correction is impressive!
All Explore Scientific 62° eyepieces are Argon purged (the air inside is replaced with Argon, an inert gas) and sealed so the inside will never suffer from condensation. The interior optics will remain clear, bright and dust-free, year after year.
The nosepiece includes a milled safety undercut (to prevent the eyepiece slipping out of the focuser) and is threaded to accept astronomy filters.
Note to eyeglass wearers: The 20, 26, 32 & 40mm eyepieces have long eye-relief so are the best choices if you wear eyeglasses while observing.

I have the 26mm EP which performs superbly with my small (102mm / f12.7) Maksutov. The 50X views are razor sharp with plenty of contrast and the build-quality is excellent. Very highly recommended.
Explore Scientic 26mm 62° Eyepiece. 07 March 2019 | Martin
I have a collection of ES 82° seried eyepieces. But looking for an 1 1/4 inch Eyepiece with a generous field to use with my Celestron C5. This 26mm 62° arrived. It certainly does the job that I got it for. My initial fear was so called "kidney bean effect" This did not happen. Very comfortable eye relief. And able to utilise the full field while wearing glasses.

Nice light and compact eyepiece 28 May 2018 | John
This is a nice light and compact eyepiece, unlike some other designs of similar focal lengths having apparent FOV’s which are similar or smaller, but are relatively quite bulky and heavy in comparison. At £80 it is also competitively priced
The eyepiece is comfortable to use, the eye relief is quite generous, and view quite sharp right up to the edge of the field of view. Would be nice if they also did this design in 7.5 and 4 mm focal lengths

I bought this eyepiece to use in a Lunt solar scope. I really like everything about it. Very nice small size. Good contrast across the fov and very reasonably priced. I have not had a chance to use it on the night sky yet but I am pretty sure it will perform well there to.
