About this product

Model:  baader-rcci

The Baader RCCI (Rowe Coma Corrector) is a novel Coma Corrector by Dave Rowe with a triplet lens design optimised for f/4 Newtonian telescopes but will deliver impressive results when used with focal ratios f/3.5 to f/6.

The RCCI has a longer than usual chip distance of 91.5mm from the T2 thread. The long focus distance is perfect for larger setups such as a filter-wheel with Off-Axis-Guider or Adaptive Optics.

Perfect for the Atik EFW2 and OAG.

If you want to connect a camera without an Off-Axis Guider via a T-Ring we recommend a Baader VariLock 46 T-2 extender (2956946 #25V) with an engraved half millimetre scale - the ideal distance can be set quickly and easily.

To sink the RCC further into the focuser the knurled ring can be unscrewed.

Excellent coma corrector
12 August 2020  |

I bought this coma corrector almost 2 months ago but was not able to use because of backfocus issue. I had to order spacer ring sets. Now I can use this coma corrector with QHYCCD163M and EOS 800D with different extension tubes and spacer rings. Result is awesome. There is zero coma in my photographs taken with Celestron 8" Newtonian.

I saw a review, a friend says "coma reduced but not gone". I advice, take attention on backfocus. This coma corrector requires 91,5 milimeters backfocus, if you use necessary extension tubes and spacers (measure with a fine caliper) you got awesome result.
