IOptron call it "level and go", the term they use to describe the iOptron new AZ Mount Pro's simple set up routine.
Using its built-in level indicator, you simply level the mount and turn on the power. Using its integrated 32-channel GPS receiver and built-in position and angular detection sensors, the AZ mount Pro automatically calculates its global position and the telescope's orientation. It then automatically slews the telescope to an easily identifiable bright object in the night sky. The user only needs to confirm a bright object is in the centre of the view to activate tracking and GOTO functionality.

I have only just purchased this item and have not had a chance to use it at the moment due to the weather conditions. When the weather is suitable I shall then be able to give my review. I have given the product a 5 star for build quality.

Now. I think I am going to like this a lot ! The idea behind buying this is to use it for my visual observations with celestron C11 or Skywatcher Esprit 100, and this mount is capable of supporting a scope and any finders etc. I ordered it with the Tri Pier which is a substantial item too. Because I don't have a permanent set up space I will need to set up the mount in the light to make sure I set it level to the bubble, which is located on the mount. The 3 little adjustment screws seem a bit fiddly at first but I assure you they are solid once the mount is locked down. Because the pier is so easy to set up the same each time I can mark my location on the ground where the feet go, to be sure of clearance etc upon next use.So. To try it out. My first use was in daylight with the moon up high at 09.00 so I balanced and levelled the scope as instructed and let the mount set itself up. Because there were no stars in sight I allowed the set up to continue just by confirming each step. But on completion I selected the moon as a target, fitted a 17mm eyepeice into the scope and away we go. On finding the target I only had to do a slight adjustment to centre the moon. Very slight indeed. After that I repeated the target finding and it landed perfect each time after 10 minute intervals. So yes I am going to use this a lot. I have ordered the little levers to add to the tightening wheel to lock the scope level. Got to be worth it.Thumbs up from me - also I can use the pier to mount my other Ioptron EQ mount.
